Resource Nodes in Black Zones

Enchanted resource nodes are timed gathering objectives that spawn across Albion Online’s Black Zones. They contain high-tier materials that are significantly more valuable than standard open-world resources — and they attract both gatherers and gankers.

Albion Online Objectives (AOO) tracks all four node types across five enchantment tiers, giving your guild advance notice of exactly when and where these nodes become available.

The Four Node Types

Each node type produces a specific crafting resource. The material you gather feeds directly into Albion Online’s player-driven economy.

Node TypeBot ValueResourceUsed For
Fiber NodeFiber nodeFiberCloth crafting — robes, cowls, sandals
Hide NodeHide nodeHideLeather crafting — jackets, hoods, shoes
Ore NodeOre nodeOreMetal crafting — plate armor, helmets, boots
Wood NodeWood nodeWoodPlank crafting — bows, staffs, shields

All four node types follow the same enchantment tier system and behave identically in terms of spawn mechanics. The only difference is the material they produce.

Tier System (4.4 — 8.4)

Resource nodes in the Black Zone use enchantment-based tiers. The first digit represents the base tier and the second digit (always .4) represents the enchantment level. Higher tiers yield rarer materials with significantly higher market value.

TierRarity LevelMarket ValueCompetition
4.4UncommonEntry-level enchanted materialsLow
5.4RareModerate value, steady demandLow to moderate
6.4Very RareStrong value, popular crafting tierModerate
7.4Extremely RareHigh value, sought after by craftersHigh
8.4LegendaryMaximum value, top-tier materialsVery high

The price difference between tiers is not linear. An 8.4 resource can be worth many times more than a 6.4 of the same type. This makes high-tier nodes worth the risk of traveling deep into hostile Black Zone maps.

Tracking Nodes with Albion Online Objectives

When a scout or gatherer spots a resource node, they report it using the /add command. The bot’s autocomplete system is context-aware — selecting a tier-based rarity (4.4 through 8.4) automatically filters the type list to show only node types, and vice versa.

Example Commands

/add type:Ore node rarity:8.4 map:Murdergulch Ravine time:02:30
/add type:Fiber node rarity:7.4 map:Drownfield Wetland time:01:45
/add type:Hide node rarity:6.4 map:Deepwood Gorge time:03:15
/add type:Wood node rarity:5.4 map:Giantweald Copse time:04:00

After reporting, the node appears in the /list output with a live countdown to its spawn time. Your entire guild can plan their gathering runs around these timers.

Duplicate Prevention

If two scouts report the same node (matching type, rarity, and map) within an 8-minute window, the bot rejects the duplicate automatically. This means multiple scouts can cover the same zones without cluttering the objective list.

Gathering Tips

Equipment

  • Wear gathering gear appropriate to the resource type. Fiber harvester gear for fiber nodes, quarrier gear for ore, and so on. The gathering speed bonus is substantial.
  • Bring an escape tool. Black Zones are full-loot PvP areas. A Bloodletter, Miner Workboots, or similar mobility option can save your inventory.
  • Consider a mount with carry weight bonuses for hauling large quantities of enchanted materials back to the nearest Hideout or portal.

Safety in the Black Zone

  • Check the map for hostile activity before committing to a node. If gankers are active in the zone, consider waiting or bringing an escort.
  • Gather in groups when possible. A gatherer with two escorts is far harder to gank than a solo player. Use the guild workflow to coordinate protection.
  • Report every node you see, even ones you cannot gather yourself. Another guild member with the right tools might be able to reach it in time.

Timing

  • High-tier nodes spawn on timers. The earlier your guild knows about them, the more time you have to position gatherers. Encourage scouts to /add nodes the moment they spot the timer.
  • Watch for the maintenance flag. Nodes with spawn times crossing the 10:00 UTC server maintenance may not survive the daily reset. Albion Online Objectives flags these automatically.
  • Prioritize 8.4 and 7.4 nodes. The value difference justifies dedicating your best gatherers and escorts to the highest-tier spawns.
